Christmas Greens and Garland

Thanks everyone so much for the business you gave me for this week.  :)  My little girl made the honor roll yesterday!   I am so proud of her.  They are growing up too fast.

Items of interest to keep in mind.  I now have a farm that makes garland by the foot for us!! Yay!!!

I have used them before so you can expect some good quality.  This same farm will be brining in Christmas greens such as boxwood, frasier fir and white pine.  They have the ability to make some specialty wreaths.  I am waiting on some pictures from them soon that I will post for you.

Peonies are in full swing from New Zealand and Chile.

Social Media Revolution

I really thought this video is super important to pay attention to.  These past few months I have been completely engrossed in Social Media education.  I was contracted a few months ago by The Training Factor to take their small business and provide for it national brand recognition.  They are now a nationally recognized company as a result of tools such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and many other tools.  How much did this cost?  Only my time and the hard work is about to pay off in more ways than I could have ever imagined.

My point to all of my flower folks is a simple one.  Start investigating these tools for your business.  Analyze your brand name and make sure it is well spoken of.  Look to see how well your marketing dollars are truly working for you! Keep in mind that Thanksgiving comes up quick on us. California has the greatest novelty product for that time of year!  Peonies start next week out of New Zealand as well.

Some other branch material items such as birch logs, birch poles and dragonwood are now available.  Get your bittersweet soon.  It lasts well in your cooler and I want to make sure you get the first cuts.

Next week would be a good time to start stocking up a bit on your mosses.

Good morning everyone.  I hope you had a nice weekend.  Keep in mind that Thanksgiving flowers will need to booked soon.  Items such as persimmons, pomegranates, wheat, liquid amber and numerous other items are so great for that time of year.

Today I am featuring my Mix 46 Costa Rican.  This has a great combination of Areca, Whaleback, Palmetto, Fishtail, Monstera and other greens.  This is a high quality box of foliage that is great for those weekly arrangements you may be starting already.  The price is $2.25 a stem FOB Miami.  What a great value.  They are offering standing orders for the season.  These can be a challenge to get at times so its a great idea to have these booked for once a week.  You know you will use them!
